Minister of Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources, Catherine Namugala has scooped the Africa Investor African Tourism Minister of the year Award beating six contestants from Ghana, Sierra Leon, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Tanzania.

Honorable Namugala obtained the Award last night at a gala ceremony at the Rainbow Towers Hotel and Convention centre, in Harare, Zimbabwe. The ceremony coincided with the Africa Investor Tourism Summit 2010 which is being held at the same venue.

Honorable Namugala was one of the seven African Ministers who were shortlisted for the award.
The Africa Tourism Awards were created to raise Tourism Investments in Africa and to recognize individual and organizational achievements in Sustainable Tourism in Africa.
