
The Forestry Department - FDThe Forestry Department is responsible for management of forest resources in the Country. The Department's function include providing guidelines and supervision for the management, restoration or establishment of forests as well as facilitating and regulating forest industries, providing extension services and undertaking research. MISSION STATEMENT The Mission Statement of the Forestry Department is to ensure sustainable flow of wood and non-wood forest products and service while at the same time ensuring protection and maintenance of Biodiversity for the benefit of the present and future generations through active participation of all stake holders. GOALS In order to operationalize the mission statement, the following goals have been set for the Forestry Commission:
